Moses Singer boosts private clients practice

MSI's NYC law member Moses Singer is pleased to announce the arrival of Evan S. Cowit as partner and Chair of its Private Clients group boosting the firm's private clients practice.

With more than 25 years of experience, Cowit advises clients, ranging from early entrepreneurs to financially established individuals, on all stages and facets of estate planning and administration, corporate and business succession planning, and tax law. His practice also focuses on probate and administration, including preparation of estate and gift tax returns, charitable planning strategies, and counseling clients on tax implications of corporate strategies and business acquisitions.

“Evan is an ideal addition to the Private Clients team, bolstering our scope of estate and succession planning services for individuals and closely held businesses and trusts,” said Dean Swagert, Moses Singer Managing Partner and co-chair of the Corporate Practice Group. “His expertise and insights on issues such as income tax and asset appreciation will be particularly helpful to clients during an election year.”

Cowit earned his J.D. from Brooklyn Law School and his B.A. in Political Science from the University of Michigan. He is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and Florida, as well as the Southern and Eastern District Courts of New York. He joins from Kudman Trachten Aloe Posner (KTAP) LLP, where he led the Trusts & Estates practice.
